Presidente...es nuestra cerveza favorita

We just had to show you this picture of Lisa and me drinking our first Presidente. When it's hot there's nothing like a cold beer and they DO serve it cold here.

Leslie,
The blogs are fun to read. It sounds like a lot of work, but I am sure it is all very rewarding. You will all have to have a weekly all Spanish night so that you don't lose your speaking skills.

Thanks for the post on my Carepage. It is really sweet that you take the time to check on me! I am doing well. Certainly am ready for it to be over! This is most definitely easier than chemo, but I think I am starting to feel a wee bit of the tiredness. I guess I will have to take Mary Bolte's advice and take a nap each day. But I may have to go to someone else's house to do that. I keep finding things to do around here!
Good news.. Barb left a message that they sold the AZ house... so we don't have to worry about them needing to move in with one of us.

keep having fun!
Patty

Hey Leslie:

Good to see that you are having fun in the RD and enjoying the cold beer. As my MUCH older sister I guess you are old enough for that!

Hey Girlfriend! I'm just back from my week at the beach. I had a great time playing with Henry who was "stuck to my hip". You know how much I enjoyed that!!

It's really nice to be able to read about your experiences and see that smiling face -- sure looks like you're enjoying that beer. (I was shocked at first, thought I was looking at David's Sarah and it's your friend Lisa .. scarey!!) Can't believe you're at the halfway point of your DR adventure. I'm anxious to hear all of your stories. "Adios amigos" (that's the extent of my spanish vocab)

Well, it looks like the DR is agreeing with you both. Thanks for keeping us posted. The classes sound very intense but I can tell you are learning a lot. I chuckled about Lisa buying the bead necklaces and hematite. (It's always about the jewelry with you two, isn't it?) Keep the bug spray on you, Senora! Leslie, did you buy any cigars at the factory? I appreciate the photos you are posting. ---- I will let Kathy know how you are doing tomorrow at our SIT meeting. ---- Big hugs...

Hi Leslie: Wow! How do you absorb all that information? Sounds like you'll have to volunteer at the Spanish Center here to stay fluent in your speaking skills.

Looks like you're having fun too and I know George, Brian and Justin wish they were there when they saw your picture!!

I'm anxious to hear some Spanish when you return home. Enjoy your time!! We're all envious!

Best regards. Nina

HI Ladies,
Finally getting around to reading all the blogs. Not sure exactly how to navigate the response - so I think I'll be anonymous! But what a great experience you are having - certainly a bit different from Hagerstown, Maryland! It's been so hot and dry here, I can taste that cold Presidente - yum!
Adios - see you soon!
